Día de Muertos
Wasatch Community Gardens is excited to host its first Día de Muertos community altar in partnership with Artes de Mexico en Utah in the new Growing Traditions garden space at the Wasatch Community Gardens’ Campus (629 E 800 S, SLC). Día de Muertos is a celebration of life and a way to honor loved ones who have been lost. We invite you to quietly and respectfully interact with the space, as it is meant to be one of serenity and contemplation and to provide an opportunity for members of our community to share their culture and traditions with their children and families. The display will showcase the diversity in how Día de Muertos is celebrated in various parts of Latin America. Stop by and visit the installation from October 29 (5 pm) – November 3. The event is free, and no registration is required.
