The Aquarium Age: June 12-18

By Ralfee Finn

Separating the wheat from the chaff won’t be easy this week. Planetary crosscurrents pull in different directions simultaneously, and daily life reflects that astral hodgepodge with too many situations, individual and collective, in need of attention. Expect to feel stretched, especially if you have more than one iron in the fire, more than one child to take care of, or more than one friend who is wrestling with dire circumstances. The good news is that positive occurrences are also a part of the mix.

The not so good news is that nervous systems could easily become overloaded from the intensity, making tantrums, yours or others’, a possibility. The task of the week is being able to distinguish what needs to be released from what or who will flourish from your awareness and care.

Here’s the skinny: A Mars/Uranus sextile is at the core of this week’s nervous agitation. Mars and Uranus both represent movement. Mars symbolizes physical energy. Uranus signifies the pulse. And when these two planets interact, nervous systems often feel the strain of too much activity. On one hand, this combination provides prodigious amounts of strength—enough to accomplish any task. On the other, it generates the potential to push too hard, take on too much, and grow impatient with the results—or lack of them. Mars/Uranus also insists on personal freedom, at almost any cost. So don’t be surprised if a musical brain worm keeps singing, “I gotta be me. I gotta be free.” This sextile is exact on June 17 and lasts until June 25. Notice where you are longing for liberation, and what the cost of freedom will actually be.

Jupiter is in the final moments of its transit through Gemini, a journey that began on June 11, 2012, and ends on June 25, 2013. As Jupiter moves through the last degrees of Gemini, the Sign of information, what already seems like an endless download of data, personal and collective, could turn into a deluge. Anticipate conversations to be laden with facts and figures, but also be prepared for advice from just about everyone on just about every subject. Jupiter is traveling in tandem with the Sun, and that positive combination encourages an optimistic, confident attitude that’s more than willing to share opinions about a wide range of subjects. Just be aware, some of what’s said could be more rumor and hearsay than anything else.

Mercury and Venus are also traveling in tandem through the Sign of Cancer. Last week, they both formed a trine to Saturn and Neptune; as they pulled out of that positive interaction, they simultaneously completed a T-Square to the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square, prolonging the persistent impetus for change embodied by that powerful and sometimes pernicious configuration.

The Sun and Jupiter, as well Mercury and Venus continue to travel together for the next two weeks. The Sun/Jupiter conjunction symbolizes joy. The Mercury/Venus conjunction symbolizes a deep desire for beauty. While those two signatures may feel antithetical to the nightly news, the more we align with their positive potential, the more we strengthen the intention to make love and beauty the first choice.

If you know your Ascendant and/or your Moon Sign, read that, too.

Aries March 21-April 19
There’s a whole lotta talkin’ goin’ on, and much of what’s said needs to be expressed. Just be wary of sweeping generalizations that sound good but aren’t completely true. Be specific, and you’ll succeed at making your point.

Taurus April 20-May 20
Words of love will win both hearts and minds, but only if they are authentic. Think before you speak—something we all need to be reminded of—and your conversations will have a positive effect.

Gemini May 21-June 21
Continue to channel your fighting spirit and you’ll continue to see positive results for your efforts. Yes, harnessing all that intensity can be a bit nerve-wracking, but it is well worth the effort.

Cancer June 22-July 22
Continue to gather your strength by doing all those things you do to take care of yourself. Whether it’s a massage, a long walk, or extra hours of sleep, just be determined to practice wholesome self-care.

Leo July 23-August 22
There’s no need to apologize for your joy and every reason to share your positive perspective. As I often advise you to do, encourage others to be equally joyous about life.

Virgo August 23-September 22
The needs of family and friends could override certain professional plans and projects. Of course, loved ones are a priority; so rather than resent their needs, joyously embrace your responsibilities.

Libra September 23-October 22
Career concerns override all others, especially over the coming weeks, as you experience the potential for increased success and recognition. Stay steady and you’ll handle the increase with ease.

Scorpio October 23-November 21
A deep wanderlust motivates you to set your sights high and wide. Explore unknown terrain, and if you can’t actually physically get there, take an internal transformational trek instead.

Sagittarius November 22-December 21
Of course you’re talking, sharing all the necessary and unnecessary details with significant others. As I often remind you, be sure to listen to the stories of others with the same intensity and enthusiasm.

Capricorn December 22-January 19
The emphasis is on partnership, including and most importantly, your relationship with yourself. Take the time to review what it is you need to feel safe and secure from the inside out.

Aquarius January 20-February 18
Figuring out how to juggle several areas of interest without losing any threads won’t be easy. But if you stay disciplined and concentrated, you’ll manage this challenge, gracefully.

Pisces February 19-March 20
What would you do if I sang out of tune? I think you would stay on the field and do whatever was healthy and necessary to create a wholesome harmony capable of restoring balance, inside and out.
