The Aquarium Age: Feb. 22-28

By Ralfee Finn

Signs are everywhere this week, and they aren’t all astrological.

A wide range of rich symbols are likely to materialize out of the blue, in all sorts of settings, and because their presence feels synchronistic, it would be hard not to think of them as messages from a living universe. Pay attention to who or what crosses your path. And don’t worry about missing the signals; they are plentiful, from red tail hawks in the park to baby lizards in the desert to a song that seems to be playing everywhere. The only work involved is figuring out what these messages might mean. If you need assistance, get your multidimensional beanie out of the closet, dust off the special antennae used for ET communiqués, and set your dials on receive. (Those of you new to this technique: simply imagine your favorite hat, add a set of TV ears on top, and you’re good to go.) Just be aware: You’ll need a strong set of filters. Intense emotions are part of the package, which might make it hard to discern the difference between what you’re feeling and what others may be transmitting.

The source of this heightened awareness continues to be a concentration of planets in Pisces. First, the ongoing Sun/Neptune conjunction is still transforming empathy into psychic intuition. This conjunction tends to manifest as super-receptivity, another reason why good filters are a must. Pisces is the Sign of melting boundaries, and when that urge to merge is amplified by Neptune, its Ruling Planet, the capacity to melt into another person is breathtaking. And that goes for the potential to get lost in situational merging as well. Under this influence, it’s possible to be so susceptible to suggestion that you take on the prevailing mood of those around you, without even noticing that you’ve lost your center.

Mercury is also in Pisces, and because Mercury symbolizes the mind and all its activities, its presence in Pisces is sure to be felt as intensified and inspired imagination. Allow yourself to dream, and don’t be afraid to dream big. The only problem with Mercury’s position is that it opposes Mars, retrograde in Virgo, an interaction that could lead to a restless, nervousness that spends itself as an argumentative attitude. This opposition lasts until Sunday, so do your best to avoid quarreling just for the sake of it.

As you attempt to receive and make sense of the signs this week, be careful not to get caught in Neptune’s illusions or delusions, which could feel real, but might only be familiar, unconscious projections. Instead, allow the psychic sway to facilitate a deep spiritual conversation – a dialogue with the invisible realms that enlivens your ability to see a different and perhaps more transformative perspective.

If you know your Ascendant and/or your Moon Sign, read that, too.

Aries March 21-April 19

It can be argued that the telecommunication lines with the invisible are always open, but rarely is there enough mental clarity to hear the answers to your questions above the hubbub of daily life. This week the connection is direct; listen closely.

Taurus April 20-May 20

Neptune opens up a wide range of choices related to how you can share your gifts within your community. Assess what it is you have to contribute that is unique, and then trust your intuition about how to demonstrate your intention.

Gemini May 21-June 21

The emphasis is on what how you want to be recognized, and it doesn’t matter whether your concerns are about personal or professional image. What matters is how you can identify your best talents and use them wisely.

Cancer June 22-July 22

YesŠyou are experiencing a deep sense of existential longing, and it is hard to find your place in a world that not only seems to be changing daily, but also requires you to make similar shifts. Keep breathing; eventually you’ll find solid ground.

Leo July 23-August 22

Neptune is opening up deep channels of change, and while these currents are profound, they can also be uncomfortable. Rather than resist, surrender to the pull, and allow yourself to be moved into a deeper level of self-awareness.

Virgo August 23-September 22

You don’t have to lose yourself to make any situation you’re facing work. Just adapt to each circumstance by drawing upon your innate ability to shape shift. This isn’t glamorized codependence; it’s a valuable skill.

Libra September 23-October 22

The focus is still on work and what choices will bring you the greatest creative pleasure. From a transformational perspective, even if you’re stuck in a job you can’t stand, there are always positive ways to shift your circumstances.

Scorpio October 23-November 21

Neptune inspires self-expression, including urges toward poetry, jazz, and other endeavors that melt the edges of fixed expression. Give yourself permission to explore your creativity, and you’ll feel renewed by the effort.

Sagittarius November 22-December 21

There’s no reason to feel self-conscious about the need to make like a turtle and hide under your shell. Even with the strongest armor, permeability is possible. Protect yourself by giving yourself permission to stay low and be quiet.

Capricorn December 22-January 19

Neptune stirs all things related to communication, and it is going to take practice as well as patience to make sure you’re understood. So take a deep breath, and simply get used to repeating yourself.

Aquarius January 20-February 18

In addition to the ongoing challenge to be clear about finances, Neptune is also inviting you to assess what matters most to you. Examine your values, honestly, and you’ll be able to better trust your current choices.

Pisces February 19-March 20

Even though you’re used to an amplified intuitive state, becoming overwhelmed is still a distinct possibility. Rather than think you have to solve every problem, immediately, take a deep breath, and trust your intuition to identify your priorities.
