The Aquarium Age: Apr. 10-16

By Ralfee Finn

The tight formation of planets in Aries persists for yet another week, and the routines of terrestrial life continue to reflect the celestial intensity. Many of us are growing weary of this militant signature. Aries is, after all, the archetype of the warrior, and for the last several weeks, the aggregation of planets in this often combative Sign has provided the potential to turn each and every day into a psychic or physical battlefield. And while it’s true that Aries’ aggressive attitude has the necessary power to rouse the complacent into taking a stand, eventually enthusiasm even for righteous causes starts to wane, especially if there’s never a break in the “weather.”

Don’t be surprised if you or those you love are extraordinarily cranky from overload and overwhelm. And because most of us regress to five-year olds when we are tired and stressed, it would also be wise to anticipate that tantrums, yours or others,’ are likely to be the preferred method of releasing stress. Try to remember that even if picking a fight offers a momentary release, it won’t transform the tension. Find healthy and creative ways to discharge anxiety, frustration, or that feeling of “there’s not one more thing I can do or I will explode.” And when possible, help your fellow travelers to do the same. Aries may be the Sign of the individual, but even the most reclusive among us are often required to rely on the interconnectedness of community.

Uranus, the Sun, Mars, and Venus, continue to transit Aries, this week. On Monday, April 8, the Moon also entered Aries, and its presence sparks emotional bodies and ignites intense reactions. As that Aries Moon becomes a New Moon on Wednesday, April 10, those already aroused emotional bodies are sure to flare with the desire to forge ahead into previously uncharted waters by saying all sorts of things that wouldn’t be said under normal conditions. Think before you leap into language you might later regret, and try to be compassionate toward others who are struggling with the same need to release emotional heat.

Over the coming ten days, the planets will eventually complete their transit through Aries. On Monday, April 15, Venus will move into Taurus, her Home Sign. On April 19, the Sun will follow suit, and on April 20, Mars will leave Aries, its Home Sign, and move into Taurus as well. As the planets shift elements, we shift attitudes, moving from the passion of Fire to the pragmatism of Earth. For those of us in need of a break, it’s on the way.

But before that change, Mercury moves into Aries on Saturday, April 13, quickly forming a conjunction with Uranus and a square to Pluto. A Mercury/Uranus conjunction has the capacity illuminate a multitude of ideas, and when that capacity to conceptualize unties with Pluto, some of us might feel transformed into a “genius bar,” able to answer all manner of questions. I hope that will be the case, because there are so many pressing problems, personal and collective, in need of creative, bold, and brave solutions.

If you know your Ascendant and/or your Moon Sign, read that, too.

Aries March 21-April 19
You’re talking – a lot – about the details, and while it’s always a good idea to share your thoughts, it’s also always a good idea to voice those opinions through a discriminating intelligence.

Taurus April 20-May 20
Anticipate a new state of grace as Venus, your Ruling Planet, filters pent-up energy and allows you to make choices based on a clear intention to be true to your highest principles.

Gemini May 21-June 21
Community interaction continues to be an arena for transformation. Rather than refuse or resist the spotlight, step into it and allow altruistic motivation to inspire your rhetoric.

Cancer June 22-July 22
There continue to be plenty of opportunities for you to receive the recognition you deserve, especially if you continue to take a stand for yourself. Don’t give up, now; your efforts are making a difference.

Leo July 23-August 22
You’re on the threshold of a significant transition from a deeply internal process into a highly visible position. Stay focused and clear about your goals, especially your desire to integrate what you’ve been learning.

Virgo August 23-September 22
YesŠyou are facing several important questions and each requires a thoughtful process to find the appropriate answer. Take your time – the only actual pressure is the pressure you’re creating.

Libra September 23-October 22
Take a deep breath, and as you exhale, release the tension you’ve been holding on to, consciously or unconsciously. It’s been a long and often oppositional road, and the end is finally in sight.

Scorpio October 23-November 21
The axis of your personal world tilts in a slightly new direction, as the emphasis shifts from work related themes to relationships. Don’t worry; it’s a gradual transition and you’ll have plenty of time to adjust.

Sagittarius November 22-December 21
Rather than pretend you’re interested in practical considerations, why not just live for love – whatever name you call it by? Passion is your personal point, and when you’re passionate, you’re happy.

Capricorn December 22-January 19
You have to choose: Stay at home and concentrate on putting your house in order, or surrender to your wanderlust, and set off on a great adventure. Sounds like an easy choice because it is.

Aquarius January 20-February 18
What would I do if you sang out of tune? WellŠI certainly wouldn’t walk out on you. Keep the conversation going even if that includes subjects everyone would rather avoid, and you’ll only continue to grow.

Pisces February 19-March 20
Your situation won’t be solved by perfection, so rather than worry about making a mistake, give yourself permission to take as much time as you need. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is consciousness.
