  • Enjoy honey-based bake goods from Laziz, Letty Flatt, Martine, Jude Rubadue, Amber Billingsley and other buzzworthy bakers, and coffee from Salt Lake Coffee Roasters.
  • Attract pollinators to your own garden with plants from Dryland Horticulture.
  • Learn from experts from Utah State University, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City Sustainability Department, the Natural History Museum of Utah and Wasatch Bee-Keepers Association.
  • Build and take home a mason bee hotel or butterfly waterer.
  • Learn how to make a swarm trap with which to catch your own bees.
  • Green Team farm manager and CATALYST “Garden Like a Boss” columnist James Loomis will give tours of his state-of-the-art garden throughout the day.
  • Engage in a garden-wide game of Bee’ngo, led by eight-year-old Zaia Loomis.
  • Local literary luminaries Melissa Bond, Hector Ahumada, Jeffrey Berke and Sarah Caldiero will present Pollinator Poetry.
  • Enjoy the harp music of Linsey Lesser throughout the garden.
  • All-ages costume contest (with prizes and a photo booth).

The goal of the festival is to increase awareness of and appreciation for the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem…and to enjoy a beautiful spring day in Utah.
