Jan 24-30 — Money from music?

By Christopher Renstrom

I seem lucky when I work with money as a financial analyst but I wish to bring abundance through my music compositions. I still love the freedom and joy of using my funds to travel and live well. When is it safe to change careers and live on my retirement income and is it possible to sell my music? My birthday is January 26, 1952.

It’s true that you have a good fortune with fortune, but I wouldn’t advise giving up your day job just yet or making any significant career changes before the solar eclipse on January 4, 2011. I know that’s almost a year away, but there are a lot of surprise twists and turns in store for 2010.

Most people have one ruling planet, but you’re an Aquarius which means that you have two—Saturn and Uranus. The only other zodiac signs with two ruling planets are Scorpio and Pisces. Now it’s a pretty big deal when your ruling planet moves from one zodiac sign to another, but to have both ruling planets changing signs in the same year is pretty rare. Moreover there’s an added twist because Saturn and Uranus will turn retrograde, leave the signs they entered only to turn around and re-enter them later. It’s analogous to watching someone make a splashy entrance, abruptly leave, and then arrive again as if nothing happened. One can’t help wondering if something’s amiss which is why you (and all Aquarians) will want to pay close attention to developments that unfold between April 7 and June 7, 2010 and July 21 through August 13, 2010.

The back and forth motion of your ruling planets tells me two things. The first is that you will be making a big decision in late spring and then unmaking it by mid summer. But this isn’t necessarily bad. For instance you may decide that you want to retire in late spring only to discover that finances aren’t as solid as you’d like them to be and that it might be wiser to keep working for a few months longer. Or maybe your employer asks you to take on one last account with a client that you just can’t pass up and so this pushes back the date for your planned retirement. The second thing I see is you exploring a new venture in September (this may be your music) and then putting the brakes on it. Perhaps you realize that the business of selling your music is a lot more complicated than you expected it to be. I see you putting this on hold until the spring of 2011 while you bring yourself up to speed on all of the do’s and don’ts of the industry. It’s clear that the timing of things will be off for you this year, but I suspect it may work to your advantage. Aquarians often do things ahead of their time and sometimes complications and wrinkles arise for the sole purpose of allowing time to catch up with you so that everything is aligned just right for when you’re ready to embark on a new path.
