Jackson Phoenix Plummer, great-nephew of CATALYST editor Greta and nephew of CATALYST art director Polly, was born in Santa Monica, California on July 13, 2017. Despite incredibly long odds, he shares his birthday with both his father and paternal grandfather. His names are tributes to his maternal great-grandfather and his sister Hayley. He is truly a phoenix that has risen from the ashes, and his parents Ruth & Mike couldn’t feel more fortunate to have him in their lives. Welcome to our world, Jack!
