Craft Lake City Workshop: Mixology & Crafting Artisan Shrubs with Imperfect Fruit
Learn how to make your own artisanal shrubs (drinking vinegars) for at-home cocktail-making & more in our upcoming DIY workshop with local maker DRUPEFRUIT! Brooke Marple, the owner of DRUPEFRUIT, will demonstrate the process of making a classic shrub using fruit, sugar and vinegar. Participants will be able to sample a shrub in a few forms and explore the health benefits of drinking shrub. Brooke will also talk about the importance of using seasonal, local fruit and touch on the history of vinegar. Students will receive a 4oz bottle of shrub to take home, as well as recipes to make a shrub, mocktail and vinaigrette. Included in the purchase price of the workshop ticket, attendees will enjoy a signature cocktail (or non-alcoholic mocktail!) at Alibi Bar & Place inspired by this specific workshop, handcrafted with care by Alibi’s talented bartenders. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to purchase additional beverages during the class if they so choose. This workshop is a 21+ event. No experience necessary and all supplies provided.
