Dennis Hinkamp

Dennis Hinkamp grew up in St. Louis and graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia BS, MS Journalism before moving to Utah in 1980. He has been writing his column "Slightly Off Center" for 22 years. For his “day job,” he is a multimedia specialist at Utah State University in Logan.

A former standup comedian, Dennis won the Utah Laugh Off in 1989. After about 10 years of shows every weekend in some seedy bar or club, he gave up on that career. His other phases include Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, triathlons, home remodeling and Burning Man.
