Mexico Then & Now: Family Day | México Ayer y Hoy: Dia de la Familia

Families are invited to celebrate the art, songs, and dances of the Mexican Revolution at the Main Library. On display will be an important exhibit visiting from Mexico of photographs of the Mexican Revolution. These include the most iconic photos of Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, and the Adelitas, the women soldiers. The afternoon will include: - Dances of the Revolution by Ballet Folklorico Citlali - Songs (corridos) of the Revolution sung by Utah Opera singer Sishel Claverie - Chalk art by Ogden artist Ayne Velazquez - Photography workshop by Gabriela Guerra (ages 8 and up) - Paper flowers by Stephanie Haven of Discovery Gateway - Art project on the Presidential Chair by Susan Kirby The events are free. Family Day is generously funded by Friends of the Library.
