Extracting Honey from Your Hives

August is the time to extract the sweet, healthful honey your bees have been producing all summer long. Prepare for this momentous event as you learn by doing. We will be extracting a fully drawn and capped box of honey from the instructor's hives, in a hands-on, step-by-step process. Please wear old clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting covered with honey! No protective clothing is necessary. Please bring a clean 8 - 12 oz jar with lid for honey to take home.
